i was going to delete this, but then i pulled back and read the whole thing…i could see my thought process as i was having a “borderline melt down”. even though my focus, in this blog, is on my withdrawal from meds and fibromyalgia, i have lived as a recovering borderline amongst other things. boy can my [...]

seeking aid for addictions in prescripton meds: this was an interesting blog by “oasis avanced wellness”, discussing an issue near and dear to my heart…taking meds, often in place of adjusting lifestyle and even when taking it in an effort to work on lifestyle issues…the side effects and direct effects can undermine your best efforts. i would like to say that this is another journey i don’t want to see come to an end but i’d be lying. detoxing off of my psych meds has made my top three list of most difficult things to do. but to think that it ends here would be…well let’s say getting the drugs [...]

i thought i’d share a letter i completed. i made a difficult decision, to try to return to my graduate studies in counseling and i’m asking for a second chance after i completely unraveled, unknowingly, from multiple prescription drug addictions and entered into subsequent relapse in my alcoholism.
hi p.,
it’s been a couple of years now…after [...]

looking at how withdrawal can trigger other disorders like fibromyalgia and considering how to perceive and treat the symptoms. trying to find balance and watching how i can even abuse my own “natural highs”. laughter is a great medicine. remembering the freedoms and habits we came by naturally as children can aid us in how [...]

it was good to see the tremendous show of support for bob fiddaman…let’s see where this goes. this action GSK took towards a blogger and patient should be a great call to action for all of us. seeing the support the blogging community gave is inspirational and hopefully will be the beginning of a new [...]

i’m holding my own at .62mg klonopin…i’m not bad today but my mind is a little muzzy today so my writing might be muzzy too…but i’ve made a commitment to try to write something positive every day, so…ok…so…spirituality…this is one of those topics that can be “iffy” to broach. i’ll come clean and let you [...]

today i want to bring up one of my pet concepts. being revolutionary…in how we live. the definition of revolutionary that i’m referring to (so we’re on the same page/screen here) is defined, in Merriam-Websters as: “c: constituting or bringing about a major or fundamental change”.
yes, all the tools for better living that i may refer [...]

by now you may know my story….i’m down to apx. .62 of klonopin, (i am on 300mg of lyrica) and am managing my bipolar, alcoholism, fibromyalgia, pain and withdrawal symptoms best as i can. it’s difficult, and work, but i have my secret weapon!
ok this may not seem medically sound (but it is, very). i’m not promoting or selling anything [...]
